This is my first build and I have had other problems with it, but have fixed those problems

When I try to install windows 8 on my pc I run into this error (0x80070057) with it saying "windows could not format the partition on disk 0"

I have tried cleaning the drive through command prompt and making a primary partition, but when doing that I run into another problem with it saying "diskpart has ran into an error the parameter is incorrect"

If anyone could please help me and suggest or tell me what my problem would be I would appreciate it.

Hiren's BootCD (http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/) has a lot of utilities to check hard drives - you can also go to the manufacturer of the hard drive and download diagnostics for the drive.

I would suggest writing all "1"s to the drive (this effectively erases everything on the drive - similar to a low level format), and then try to install Windows (don't put a partition on the drive prior to the install) and let Windows do the work.
