Upgrade from 1333mhz c11 ram??? (for gaming)

Hi there,
I have recently upgraded most of my pc, except the ram. I still have my old "16gb team 1333mhz dual channel c11 ram", and aren't sure if its worth upgrading from. Does the latency and mhz affect games so much to make it worth it???

A few fps most games. But helps a lot with video render times. Your mobo webpage will tell you what you can fit.

Yes a DRAM upgrade would be in order - 1600/9 is considered entry level, for an idea Newegg carries about 200 sets of DDR3 1333 all but 1 are CL9 or lower.

Probably the best bang for the buck now is 2 x 4gb 1866 cl9 1.5v eg Mushkin Redline.

Oh - what CPU and mobo you got?

So I've got a 4790k and a asus maximus hero vii, and I live in autralia, so ive got no clue what the us prices are. I kinda want to get a decent 16gb kit (i'll probably spend up to 200 AUD).
