DDR3 2133 (PC1700) running at 667MHz only

I just noticed that my DDR3-2133 is only running at 667mhz... I went to bios and changed from DDR3-1333 to DDR3-2133 but everytime I reboot it goes back to 1333...

My rig is:

- AMD FX-9590 Vishera 8-Core 4.7GHz Socket AM3+ 220W Desktop Processor - Black Edition
- MSI 990FXA-GD80 V2 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
- ASUS GTX660-DC2O-2GD5 G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 660 2GB 192-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
- G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C10D-16GXM

I have enabled the XMP, now running at 2133 MHz. But all the temperatures on my system have raised:
CPU was 38C now 45C
Mobo was 38C now 42C
GPU was 42C now 45C

Is that normal? Increasing the memory speed on the motherboard should increase the temperature by this much???

Yes. I have the latest bios and NO OC on the CPU

I have just enabled XMP, but they are setup automated, not OC.

Still don't understand why the temperatures have increased so much just by selecting the actual memory speed of 2133 rather than the system default of 1333...
