hey all , so i have been facing this issue with my rig , 8 gig installed 4 usable i can't find the way to fix this (Msconfig doesn't work before anyone says try it) , i updated the bios i switched the rams around i changed the Os twice , from windows 8 to 7 and so on. the motherboard is the MSI 970 gaming and the ram set it's the amd r9 gamer series ram 8 gb ( i know its amd branded ram i got it due to the price)

Is it a single 8GB stick or 2x4GB. At 1866, might try raising the CPU/NB voltage and/or the DRAM voltage + 0.05
