Recently my Hard Disc Drive Western Digital dyed. At first, disk usage was all the time 99% with write rate about 2MB/s, so I thought that is because of maybe virus or something else not so important. I reinstalled Windows and have seen the same problem again. I installed HD Sentinel and noticed that health was 1% and Performance was 100%. It was old hard drive, about 5 years old, so i haven't cared so much. I bought new one Toshiba 2TB and used it about 5 days and again noticed same problem, my HDD usage was again on 100% all the time with write rate about 0,9MB/s. I have downloaded HD Sentinel and health was on 65%. I shutdown my PC and removed Power Supply. I thought maybe power supply is giving low voltage to HDD so i took from brothers gaming PC 600W Cooler Master Power Supply. When i turn on PC health was on 65% again so i started Disc Defragment. After 2h my health was 7% so i aborted defragmentation... I don't know what is wrong with my PC. I have Mustek 636 PowerMust so Power should be good. I have Asus motherboard F2A85M LE with AMD Athlon II 750K processor. Both of them are under guarantee for more 5 months. All my components should work well, but i don't know what is damaging my Hard Drive. Please help if you have any solution or experience. I would be pleasured.

On link, health is 8 %
While i was publishing image, health felt 1 percent more

You say "new" hard drive, yet the screen shot shows a power on time of 1025 days, or almost 3 years, so I would take that to be that it's at least 3 years old.

In addition, it shows in red about bad sectors and that will cause all the problems you have listed.

Yes, i said new, I bought it from local trader, i tested hard drive before i bought it and there was no bad sectors with 100% health and performance 100%
You can see on graph diagram that there is a big fall from 100% to 7% in only 2 days, even if it wasn't 100% health when i bought it, there shouldn't be so big fall.

Hi there paps965,

I would also say that according to the results, this drive should have been working for more than three years. You need to RMA it if it is under warranty.
Also, it will be a good idea to back up the data that is stored on it as it can fail at any time.
I don't really thing that something in your system is creating bad sectors on your drive. It will not hurt to change the cables(SATA and power ones) as well as the SATA port though.

Cheers,
