So I've been using a Linksys AE3000 for a couple years now and recently got a 200ft Cat5 Cable (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BNJZUMA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Yesterday, I hooked it up to the router in my brother's room, and connected it to my PC. The light in the ethernet port lit up Yellow, which I can assume to be signifying the fact that the computer acknowledges the cable being plugged in. However, after unplugging my AE3000 Wireless Adapter, internet goes down. I checked my networks, and all of them were gone. I tried uninstalling the drivers for my AE3000, unplugging my whole setup over night, trying to find missing drivers from Windows or the Internet, but nothing seems to work. In Device Manager my network adapters are listing my Bluetooth devices, Hamachi, and my Linksys adapter, with no mention of my Ethernet cable. Under 'Other devices' there is an option called 'Ethernet Controller' which shows the yellow triangle with exclamation point, where the properties tell me drivers are not installed (Code 28). As said before, Windows provided no results, and no manufacturers are listed under the Amazon page. All I know is the router is not at fault, my brother using the same router has had no problems with it even after my problems have become relevant.

I'm using a Dell XPS 8500 and Windows 7 Home Premium. I'm currently downloading LAN drivers for the motheboard, I'll edit the comment to say if it succeeds or fails.
