Hello there I was just wondering if the GTX 970 was the best value for money. I didn't know whether to get this or gtx 960 but I decided to spend extra money on a better graphics card that will last longer. Anyway heres my specs:
Intel core i5 3570k
8GB Ram
ASUS MOTHERBOARD DDR3
corsair cooling
GT 630 4gb
500W power supply (can upgrade)
So I was wondering what the best card wad for the money?
I am hoping to record games and get 60fps ultra settings on most games to record at. I was looking at radeons but I prefer Nvidia and I need some other peoples opinions on what to get and what the best value for money.
Thanks in advance... :)

The GTX 970 is definitely the best value for your money! It is a very strong card. OP, I would personally get a new XFX or Seasonic power supply if it is the Corsair CX series haha.

What exact power supply? And also, what exact motherboard? You can use the program Speccy if you haven't got the info to hand.

Any 500W power supply from Seasonic (XFX), be quiet!, SuperFlower should be fine. If not a high quality one, then I HIGHLY recommend getting an XFX 550W (http://www.amazon.co.uk/XFX-ATX-550-Power-Supply/dp/B004RJ8EKI).

As for the topic in hand, yes, the GTX 970 is very good value for money. It should max out most games at 1080p.

I should know but I have forgotten as ive built this pc over a year ago. All I know is that the power supply is great quality as its worth about £80-100 and the Asus motherboard is a good one too, it has pcie slots by the way. The power supply has 12v rails and 30A. I paid a lot for the computer and I know all the parts are high quality. I always want things to last. I know it is compatible and can easily handle the GTX 970. I can tell you more information about my pc tomorrow if you need more. I think GTX 970 is the best for the money though. When I get on my pc tomorrow I can tell you exact parts.
