I currently just bought a GTX 980 and I have a GTX 560ti lying around. Would using the 560 as a dedicated Physx card have an actual advantage in games?

MSI GTX 980 4 gb
8 gb DDR3 1600 mhz memory

IF You play one of a few heavy physX games, then yes, it seems the addition of a physX dedicated card could help at maximum detail settings of the 980. Anything less than maximum, and the 980 has more than enough power to compensate. If you are not playing 1 of those few games, it won't make any difference other than adding more power draw, noise and heat. So now the question becomes, is it worth it to you for a small performance gain in quality vrs the extra stuff needed, just for 1 or 2 games.
