Okay so i have this problem with my desktop pc, while im gaming i see artifacts and red dots all over my screen. Sometimes its like that just when im on the desktop as well. i have tried everything, new drivers, system restore, antivirus to make sure my pc didnt have any viruses. I see alot that people say that it is because it is over heating but one day while it was working the card only maxed out at 53C and that was after playing for a couple hours. please help me the card is a Nvidia GTX 745

Solution
A GPU usually creates artifacts if it is operating within unstable parameters. If your Power Supply is doing it's job and you are not overclocking your GPU than this usually is a problem with the GPU itself. Less commonly RAM might also cause issues. Finally, it could be the monitor itself. If you have access to any of these items or onboard graphics, try using them to rule out your components.

when you remove GPU and say "nothing happens" do you mean no artifacts or no change (still see artifacts)
