I use two int. hdd – WD Blue 500 GB (for OS) & WD Green 3TB (Storage). My PSU is Corsair CS650M. (http://goo.gl/opgR2h)

Now I want to add another int. HDD of 2TB. So, is it okay for my PSU to handle 3 HDDs of total 5.5 TB?

Configuration:

MoBo: Asus z87k
Processor: Intel i5 4570
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 770 2 GB
RAM: G. Skill 8GB (4*2)

Note: When I connect 1TB ext. HDD in the 3.0 USB ports, the PC can figure that but it becomes very slow. So I’ve to use the ext. HDDs in 2.0 ports. Irritating problem …

I’ve another question.

If I’ve to change the PSU, which will be better?
 Corsair RM850 (http://goo.gl/inqqZW)
 CM V850 (http://goo.gl/XM3Wmf)
 Tt ToughPower Grand 750W (http://goo.gl/NyKxWT)

Specially between the last twos …

Thanks in advance! :)

Adding an additional internal hard drive is only going to add about 10 watts to your total load. Your current power supply should be able to handle that with ease. I suspect the slow-down you experienced was more due to the USB connection as opposed to any issues you're having with power.
