Hi guys, I am just about to finish my new build, but just want to check something because I might be wrong. This is my graphics card -
(http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-04gp42974kr)
Since I will be connecting it to 2 monitors, both using HDMI, how will I do this? What I was thinking is using one direct from HDMI and for the 2nd monitor running a DVI-D to HDMI cord. Will this work, and will the picture quality be the same? Also, if that is correct would anyone please be able to link me to one which I can buy in AUS :)

the only way to use HDMI only with this card is to:
1) daisy chain the monitors - HDMI from GPU to M1 IN, M1 OUT to M2 IN
*I'm not aware of any monitors that can do this
2) Use an HDMI splitter - HDMI from GPU to this http://www.transformativeengineering.org/project/hds-12i-2-way-intelligent-splitter/ , then out to each monitor

your best option is to daisy-chain both monitors using the DisplayPort connection

reading the manual of the new GPU might help you understand more about it

So using a simple DVI-D to HDMI cable wont work? Multiple people on here have told me that that is the best/easiest way

Yes it will, however that is not a True HDMI connection, of which that card only has 1

By converting one port to another (in this case dvi-d to hdmi) does not change the quality. If the port is dvi-d then your screen will have the resolution of dvi-d no matter what converter you use.
Simple answer to your Question:
There are no big difference between hdmi and dvi-d. I connected my first screen to hdmi and the other to dvi. simple, no big difference.
