I am looking to buy my son a gaming pc for his birthday. He is a youtuber and twitch streamer.
He mainly plays Minecraft, CSGO, Battlefield and League of Legends.
Here is what i picked so far :
Cpu i7 4770k
Gpu Gtx 980
Cpu Cooler Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid Cooler
Motherboard Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO
Ram Corsair Vengeance 16GB
Storage Seagate Barracuda 2TB
Power Supply 600W 80+ Bronze
Would This build be able to give him great gameplay while recording or streaming ?

Solution
Short answer: YES!
The 4770k is very powerful and the hyperthreading to 8 cores is good for streaming and multitasking.
980 is very powerful and will max out everything at 1080p, maybe even 1440p.

I would get a better PSU and add an SSD though.

Wish my dad would buy me a PC as expensive as that haha.
The 4790K would be better.
Anyway, I think a better PSU and SSD are needed.
SSD's are perfect for gaming aswell, since it will increase loading speed immensely.
Also, try to find the RAM (Corsair Vengeance) With the lowest CL timings as possible, this will also increase performance.

And yes, a build similiar to that would make any gamer very happy.

That is a PC most ADULTS could only Dream of. Is he doing over the top video editing or game design, for I don't know any gamer/streamer who would need such insane specs. Maybe you could try to build it with him, as a learning experience.
