Hello. So one of my Memory Modules / HDD has failed and I want to ask this question before I find out if it is my RAM.

I currently have 2 Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600Mhz DDR3 4GB modules but 1 may be failing. They don't sell a single Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600Mhz DDR3 4GB module anymore so would buying a Kingston HyperX FURY 1600Mhz DDR3 4GB module work in this case?

So I will have 1 Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600Mhz DDR3 4GB (1.65v) module work with 1 Kingston HyperX FURY 1600Mhz DDR3 4GB (1.5v) module in Dual Channel?

PC Components (Pre Built PC):

CPU: AMD FX-4300
GPU: AMD Sapphire Radeon R7 250
RAM: Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600MHz DDR3 (4GB x2)
Hard Drive: Western Digital Blue 1TB 7200RPM SATA 3
PSU: Standard Winpower 550w
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3

It should work.

However it is was my machine I would buy a pair of matching sticks, then also use the single good old stick.
So you would end up with 2 x 4GB in dual channel + 1 stick of 4GB in single channel. (12 GB in total)

Hello Gravez98,
As Trademan1 advised, it is best not to mix two different kinds of memory. The chances of different memory working together worsens the less alike they are to each other. Our memory carries a lifetime warranty and if found faulty it can be replaced. We would replace it with the same part if available or replace it with memory of the same specifications compatible with your system. For assistance, please contact us at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) M - F 6am - 6pm PT or for other regions check here: http://www.kingston.com/company/contacts#tech

Thank you for using HyperX memory!
