So i just finished building my gaming pc, i placed all the parts in their place. When i turned on the pc all i saw was a green light on the graphics card and the light from the power button on my case, that was it. No fans turned on and i when i plugged it into my monitor it said no signal. Is my motherboard dead? Also once i turned on my pc i tried opening my dvd drive it didnt open. I plugged all the power connectors that was with the power supply into my motherboard, so there is no power connector just sitting around other than my fdd power connector. I didn't really have an idea in terms of where to plug in my sata ports ( this is my first pc build ever) and when i went to connect my fan power connector to the motherboard, my fans only had 3 pins when the motherboard had 4 pins. I just want to know why this happened and what to do to fix it. Also i kinda moved my motherboard alot around my case just trying to fix it into place so i hope i didnt damage anything there. Here are my pc specs:

Case: Corsair 200r
Motherboard: Msi z97 gaming 3
Processor: I5 4690k
Graphics Card: Asus r9 280x
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 8gb DDR3
CPU coolerCoolermaster Hyper 212 evo
CD drive: Samsung Dvd Writer
SSD: PNY 240gb SSD
HDD: WD Blue 1tb hdd
Additional Case Fans: 4 rosewill 120mm fans
Power Supply: Thermaltake 600w power supply

Do you have the 24pin and the 4/8PIN power connectors firmly attached to the mobo, did you use standoffs between mobo and case, used screws to attach mobo to all standoffs, the 3 pin fan connectors should go into the power source on the 4 pin attachments of the mobo (slotted for 3 pin)

I did all of that, also when i mounted the motherboard i didnt feel it slide into place but i saw that it was aligned with the standoffs so i just took some screws that came with the case and just screwed in the outside standoffs 6/9 because the 3 in the middle were hard to access

I am probably just going to take it over to my cousins house because he is a computer genius tomorrow and see what he can do to fix it. I bought my motherboard about a month ago from tigerdirect and i started my build yesterday. When i plug my power supply power cord into the wall and the hit the on switch it turns on the computer but the only thing that turns on is a green light coming from my graphics card and a white light from the power button of my case. Does this mean my motherboard could be dead? When looking at my powersupply i noticed that it had a red switch and could be adjusted, it looked like volts maybe that had to do with something.
