Hey all,

Longtime PC gamer, first-time PC builder. After years of buying (and paying a premium) for computers that perform well but often force me to compromise on features I either want but won't get or vice verse, I've finally decided to just build my own rig and make myself happy. I have at least a working knowledge of PC internals and I've found out which components I'm going to install, but there's so many cases out there and I'm not entirely sure on which one to go with when considering everything like appropriate size for my components. I obviously don't want to end up buying a case that's too small, but I don't want to end up with a Panzer tank of a case that's far too large for the parts I install either. Anyway, below I'll list components I plan on purchasing and hopefully some of you ladies and gents more knowledgeable than myself can help me out!

Processor: Intel i7 5820K, LGA 2011-3

Cooler: Corsair H100i GTX

Motherboard: ASUS X99-D

GPU: Nvidia GTX Titan X

RAM: Corsair Dominator 2x8 GB

HDD: Toshiba 2TB 7200 RPM

SDD: Samsung 840, 256 GB

Power Supply: Thermaltake 1200W

I'm going large on the power supply to give me flexibility in the future, so I suppose a case that allows for easy interchangeability is appropriate as well. Thanks in advance!

If you want a windowed case, the phanteks enthoo pro is a roomy one. They have a luxe and primo version as well, for instance if you wanted to top mount the h100i with 2 sets of fans in push/pull the luxe has more room in the top. The pro would be limited to one set of fans more than likely. There's room for just about any size psu in the bottom of it so the 1200w thermaltake is no issue. (Just checked, the psu is only around 7" long which brings it right to the edge of the grommets to run power cables through the backplate).

It's a pretty configurable case, both hdd cages are removable, room for up to a 360mm rad in the top. The pro comes with a 200mm and 140mm fan and I think the luxe comes with 3 fans. Looking at the space between...

Looking at the space between the edge of a full atx mobo and the drive cages there's a good 3.5" of room. Plenty of room for the titan x. Good airflow. You may not like the size though, the pro is somewhere between a mid and full tower. Hard to beat for $100 though.
