Hi all im wanting to upgrade a pc that was built for me by a friend a while ago. It performs well as it is but im wanting more. Im new to computer hardware and this is my first 'gaming pc' It currently contains...

CPU: Intel pentium G3220 dual core
MOBO: MSI military class 4 H81M-P33
GPU: Asus Geforce GTX 650 Ti
RAM: Crucial Ballistix 8GB
PSU: CIC 700UB

I am first thinking of buying a Intel Core i5 4690K. The cores reached 60'C in a stress test and the GPU 79'C (without OC as I cranked it up abit and it hit 88'C before I turned it down) so I opened it up for the first time today and seen that it had only one case fan on the front sucking air in. I moved it to the side blowing air out and the CPU went down 2 while the GPU went down 9 so im going to order 3 more fans 1 more on the side, front and back.

Other then that im pretty stuck. As I said im new to this so any help and advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your current rig is about right and balanced for what it is.
Your temperatures are nominal and not dangerous.

What case do you have?

I like front intake fans behind a washable air filter.
That will keep your case cleaner. For current cooling, I would use 2 120mm intake fans. No more is needed.
Adding more fans just adds expense and noise.

If you want an upgrade, I might suggest a i3-4360 and a GTX960, about $350 for both.
A 4690K is a bit of a waste with a motherboard that does not permit overclocking.
