Laptop, had for a few years. Hp Pavilion Dv6. Running Win7
When starting the computer it shows the HP logo, and then goes to black screen with a blinking cursor in the top left. Computer will not get past this.
Things I've tried:
-Memory & Hard drive test in bios (passes both)
-Start-up test (passed.)
-Restored all defaults to the bios settings
-Confirmed boot priority is set to hard drive (and confirmed it detects my hard drive)
-Did a hard reset (hold power button with power and battery detached)
Also checked the diagnostics logs, shows nothing.
I replaced the hard drive about a year ago to a 750gb WD drive, worked totally fine since, no crashing etc. always reliable.
Getting frustrated here... Any ideas what to try guys?
