Dell XPS 420 Strange Noise

So I attached a video of my Dell XPS 420, The Old, The Myth, The Legend! My next

door neighbor gave it to me because she was going to throw it away and it was kept in a smoking

environment. I recently fixed it up (I cleaned out all the dust but apparently the ram wasnt seated

right, so that took me a month to figure out it was a beep code!) and am getting a Nvidia EVGA

750 TI SC GPU. My current PSU is at about 375 (Not Sure) but I do know that there is a funny

noise and I do not want to ruin the GPU by using a faulty PSU or any other part. I know it is a

mechanical part because a solid state device (Processor, Motherboard) wouldn't make that noise.

I do not know whether it is the PSU and if it is should I replace it or possibly clean it out. I want to

fix it soon because the GPU comes in tomorrow and I want to be able to use it. Also, sometimes it

just stops randomly. Before I was using it and accidentally hit the shut down key on my keyboard.

(I was trying to lock it) When I tried to boot it up, it got stuck in a loop! For about 1 hour I had it

unplugged and like magic, it booted into recovery. I choose the restart option and it worked.

Thanks for any and all replies in advance!

Solution
If that power supply motor has a bearing in it, that sounds like what it is.

If it doesn't have a bearing in it, than i would say the motor for that power supply fan is failing.

I will try to take apart the psu (if possible) and also for me it seems as the psu fan is louder than the rest. Thanks for all the replies.

I am only 14 so... not very skilled? I took it apart about 2 hours ago and have not heard the noise yet (I used a compressed air can to blow out all the dust). It was VERY dusty and when I say dusty I mean like under a bed you haven't cleaned in months. Anyways, will update you if anything happens, but so far it's working.

Well... It started to make the noise again but it doesn't sound like anything to a major degree... I may be able to get away with a fan replacement...

*The next day, Joseph_Mix_God and his family burned in a fire due to a faulty PSU Fan* No JK but seriously, I need to know one thing, how can I get my GPU fan measurement?

I did mean PSU. Also, is it worth it to upgrade it and keep just the processor and GPU? like motherboard, RAM, cooling, and case?
