BSOD, Screen Hangs or Runs Fine after loading windows

This problem first started while I was playing LoL. During the game, the screen just froze and it displayed a lot of lines so I decided to reboot it. After rebooting, it loads windows and gives me a blank screen so I tried to boot it in safe mode and it was a success and gave me a BSOD error code 117. After the safe mode, I rebooted it again (out of curiosity) in normal mode to find it working again although as soon as I opened google chrome and after 10 minutes of browsing, the same stuff happened. Now every time I boot it into normal mode three things happen, 1. a blank screen, 2. a screen with blue lines and hangs or 3. it runs fine then goes into a blank screen or screen hang.

My suspects are:
1. video card drivers (but I got the latest ones...)
2. PSU (somehow I think it can't supply sufficient power to the video card)
3. Motherboard
4. Faulty GPU (but this is really really hard to believe as the display should already be gone once I boot the system and not only during when windows loads)

Things that might help:
1. I could still hear the sounds when it goes to a blank screen (for example youtube, when my screen goes blank I could still hear the video)
2. I tried reformatting my old hard drive and installed an os just to see if my windows is corrupted but it gives the same results

Solution
4. could be because of the GPU getting warm.

If you have an iGPU you could try using that to see if the issue persists, if it doesn't you have probably found your culprit. Also, AFAIK, not enough power to the GPU should either crash your system or give you lags, not the line-issues you are experiencing.

I'd put my money on the GPU.

I can't seem to run my iGPU, I've already set my motherboard to use the iGPU then after the bios stuff, it would just go black and keep on repeating vga no signal although I could clearly go into the bios settings so my vga is working.

I lost hope in troubleshooting this so I decided to buy another gpu and now my system unit is working. Thank you
