Solution
The gtx 960 will play everything at high settings on 1280x1024 resolution. But why not get a bigger monitor?

I would actually make some big changes to your build if it was me.
-Swap i7 for i5-4690k
- get a cheaper Z97 board
- get 8gb ram not 16gb
- get a better psu
- spend the savings on a bigger monitor and if there's money left over, a gtx 970

dude your CPU is a overkill get like a i5 4690k or fx 8350 and upgrade the GPU and monitor

I live in India. Buying online would be better avoided coz cant get involved in the returning back and all that stuff if anything turns out to be faulty.. I chose 4790k coz im going to be involved in graphics rendering as well as playing games and i'm going to change the gpu and monitor as soon i have the money.. what fps will i get in the games mentioned ?

Another option is AMD, they're not bad by all means, and only get 16 GB's of ram if you are sure that graphics rendering will be your main priority

CPU: FX-8320
Motherboard: MSI Gaming 970
Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB 4x2
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM

Graphics: Zotac 970 AMP!
PSU: Seasonic S12II 620W
Modding:- NZXT HUE RGB
Optical Drive: ASUS DVD Writer
Input: Microsoft Wired Combo(Keyboard and Mouse)
CPU Cooler: Deepcool Gammaxx 400

Nope.. What will be the best 1080 monitor under 10000 INR?and one more question- are all games playable on all res? Or are some games unplayable on certain resolution?
