As stated in the title, this is my first build and I've decided to go for the Intel i5-4690K CPU and a GeForce GTX 970 graphics card. I am a bit overwhelmed when looking for a motherboard, and would appreciate any help in picking one. I searched for people asking similar questions with the same CPU and GPU, but wasn't able to get a satisfactory answer for myself.
A few more important things:
- I only plan on having one graphics card at first, but would like to upgrade to another when I have the money. This being the case, I would much rather not have to buy a whole new motherboard as well.
- I would like to be able to overclock the CPU, and would like a motherboard that would allow for me to do it.
- I'm not looking to skimp on price, but I'd also like to avoid breaking the bank. I'm willing to pay what I need to for a good piece of hardware.
If anyone can give me specific motherboards to look at or at least point me in the right direction, that would excellent. Thanks before hand for any of the help you provide me with.
