every attempt to clean install win 7 HP on a new ssd fail due to bootmngr missing error. have tried dvd, and usb. I've used the latest and best software to create the installation media from the iso. I'be even installed the OS on the ssd using the old faiing HDD and it works perfectly but when I try to boot without the old HDD connected I get bootmgr error. The MBR is on the old drive and OS. I've removed and reinstalled the MB battery, reset the CMOS, set the bios to default, reloaded the cmos without the old HDD connected, set the installation drive as the primary boot drive in BIOS and selected it in the boot menu--all with the same result "bootmngr is missing (it's not) press cntrl+alt+delete to restart.
