Is this build good enough for 1080/1440p gaming at Ultra settings?

I'm building a new system for gaming at those specs and I want to know if i could change something on this build for better specs. I also wanted to know about the voltage of the ram at 1.65v and the i7-4790k at 1.575v intel recommended.

No aftermarket cooling? Going to spend this kind of money, get some better cooling. The tall ram heatsinks need to go though. For a similar cost, you can do better.

I'd recommend the Gigabyte G1 GTX 980 for it comes with a water cooler and apparently JayzTwoCents tested it with the 970 version (Basically the 980 with 85-90% of the performance, 200 bucks less and 3.5 GB of NORMAL VRAM) and he could overclock it to 1500 MHZ without it breaking a sweat. Other than that, You're good to get for about the next 4-5 years.

The G.Skill Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory operating voltage of 1.65V exceeds the Intel Haswell Refresh CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum.

The motherboard should set the settings for Intel XMP and you should be fine.

Changed RAM to 1866 since 2400 does not give any significant improvement in terms of gaming.
SSD changed from PRO to EVO, basically the same for lower price.
PSU changed to 620w M12ii, it would be enough for a single card setup, if you wish to SLI in the future then get the 850w.
Added Noctua DH-14, very good cpu cooler. you NEED this, since you have k proc for overclocking. you can opt to go liquid cooling, depends on you if you think Noctua fans are fugly, and i honestly think they do look fugly, but performance wise, hands down.

Everything is fine just get either an air or liquid cooler. Your ram may have clearance issues with an aftermarket cooler. Personally I like watercooling but the choice is up to you.
