So a family member is looking for a PC for her daughters. It's mainly to do their work on and surf the web.

As stated above the budget she has given me is £150-200.

I've been looking around but no luck, so was hoping you lovely people could help me.

Thanks.

Budget is super low. Not really an easy task, if you want Windows too. I cannot even do a Kabini setup, with Windows, for that price. I would look into used and refurb OEM's.

Cheapest I can do without Windows. To stay in budget, you can buy Windows 8.1 keys on Reddit legally for $20 (13.36 GBP). Then, you could download the OS itself and install it from a flash drive. If you do that, you won't need the optical drive. Alternatively, you could use a Linux distribution.
