RAM (Possibly HDD) Related Problem

Hiya,

So my current PC build has something of a history with blue screens of death. I've posted her before about this one two occasions and both times I've gotten suggestions which appear to have worked for a few months then the BSODs just started up again.

It's not as bad as it was before, but I'm sure you'd all agree that getting 1-2 BSODs a week is far from normal.

Previously the culprits for this were either my RAM (which didn't appear to be the case after running memtest) and some faulty drivers (which I've long since gotten rid of). I included in the title that the problem might be HDD related, since occasionally what will happen is that my HDD light will stop flashing and the PC will freeze, leaving me unable to do anything but restart the PC (though this might just be a whole nother problem in itself and if anyone has any suggestions as to what it might be I'm more than willing to listen).

There's one more issue, my PC doesn't seem to be saving minidumps. I've checked my system settings and it's there clear as day that a small memory dump should be saved into the minidump folder, yet my latest minidump is from February despite there being 3-4 crashes in March alone.

Any help with this would be immensely appreciated as I'd hate to have to haul this machine off to a store somewhere, especially since money doesn't really allow it right now.

I don't quite remember which module it was this time around, but usually it either says ntoskrnl or winsys I think. The error it gives is something along the lines of 'IRQL KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED' though that may not be exactly what it says.
