Corsair CMSX16GX3M2B1600C9 vs CMSX8GX3M2A1600C9

so i got paid out from warranty and i got an MSI GE60 Apache Pro 628US (not 215US).

i upgraded my 8GB ram stick in my broken laptop to two 8gb sticks from corsair CMSX8GX3M2A1600C9 to make 16gb..

Will this these be compatible with the 4th gen i7? the corsair website says i need CMSX16GX3M2B1600C9 sticks... they are more expensive.. but are they needed?

Weird... Cpu-z says my old laptop has CMSX8GX3M2A1600C9 in slot 1 and 4...8gb each to total 16gb Of memory...

Confused.... I'll check the actual sticks to see what the sticker says...

for sure 100% now each stick is CMSX8GX3M2A1600C9..

i opened up the service panel and the stickers each said CMSX8GX3M2A1600C9...

and my memory tab says 16gb... i either got ripped off or there are two different CMSX8GX3M2A1600C9 kits. and so i am assuming that CMSX8GX3M2A1600C9 doesn't fit with my new laptop which corsair is saying needs CMSX16GX3M2B1600C9
