Im using CPUID HWmonitor to watch temps.
I have a i5 4670k and Hyper 212 Evo with Artic silver 5. I tried a couple different techniques with the thermal paste and I still get the same temps.
Idle are 38-40*C and ambient temps are 22.2*C. Max Load like running Prime 95 is 78*C-80*C.
Is this too hot? Do I have any overhead room to OC? All the bios settings are default as of now. I have a ASRock Fatal1ty Killer 990FX motherboard.
I have looked at multiple threads, but cant seem to find a definite answer.
It is also an engineering sample... does that matter?
Would going for a more aggressive cooling solution like a h100i give me more room to oc?
