Hey guys, I'm starting a gaming YouTube channel. I'm gonna be posting Battlefield 4/H Gameplay, what do I use to record? I don't want a big file size, nor a laggy gameplay. I want to record HD with low file size.
My specs- Ga 78LMT S2 Motherboard (Gigabyte)
AMD FX6300
Sapphire HD7770
Transcend 8 GB DDR3
Corsair 450W
Tell me a game recorder which will work fine with these components. If not do I need to upgrade something? I want to record the Gameplay at Medium to High. (Ultra not required)
Thanks!

He lists he has the HD7770 graphics card but people love mentioning Shadowplay lol.

AMD Game DVR = Equivalent to Shadowplay and same performance

Alternatives:
DXTory
OBS
Mirillis Action

Those are all good recording softwares with minimal performance hit.

Nvidia ShadowPlay for it being so light it's unnoticeable that you are recording (does all the work on the GPU, file sizes are I dunno, who lacks disk space these days? But quality can be changed). So get rid of that AMD thing or use OBS https://obsproject.com/ eventhouhg it's meant for streaming, highly customizable and does record to files too, but it's a lot more heavy than shadowplay as it uses the CPU, there will be a slight frame drop. Best thing? It's free.

GPU powered solutions. Nvidia has Shadowplay, AMD has GVR (requires a Plays.tv account, I think), both have OBS (Open Broadcaster Software).

The former two are pretty much "press a button", but aren't that flexible, while OBS is a bit harder to use, but pretty much leaves you an almost complete freedom of choice.
They all use the same technology anyway, otherwise known as the H.264 encoder available (and mostly unused) on most modern cards, so besides any optimizations from the respective brands, you lose nothing using one over the other.
With any GPU from high tier and up (7700 or R9 270X), you usually lose 5 fps at worst, or none at best, so it pretty much is a win-win situation IMO.

Will AMD Game DVR have a small file size while recording HD? What will be the size of a 20 minutes gameplay in 1028 x 720 resolution ?

that is a heck lot lower than shadowplay thats for sure a 10 minute vid on highest settings 1080p was 5.9 gb for me but is expected from high settings

Whats the MBps to set it at, to get low file size. Again what the heck is MBps? What does it do?

Without too technical explanations (as I'm not that knowledgeable), Mbps directly translates to the final quality of the image in your video. It defines how much information you're willing to store for each image each second.

More information means higher quality, but also a bigger file size. Works the same the other way around (lower rate, less quality, smaller size).
It's a matter of testing by yourself and finding the right amount for the quality you want and the rig you have. Too high and the disk might bottleneck it or your GPU might not be powerful enough, but too low and you'll have a crappy quality in the end.
Going too high also has diminishing returns, so there really is no way for you to exceed there.

GVR makes it easier for you by defining "Megabytes per minute" anyway, so you have a better idea of the final size.
When I used to test GVR, it was about 4~4.5 GB for 15 minutes of 60fps recording, 1080p resolution at...250~350 MB/min, i believe? Can't remember right now and can't check.
Very crisp quality, audio slightly off-sync (likely because I was playing at 90fps and recording at 60fps, COD AW)

quality balance 10 max bitrate 20000(or higher) buffer size 20000(or higher)
resolution downscaler: none ,fps:60

advanced:use multithread optimization,process priority class normal,scene buffering time 400
x264 cpu preset veryfast ,encoding profile high, use cfr
