Hi! Just as the title stated, I am gonna start building a Gaming PC with low money and with my Pre-Built PC. My whole budget will be 25,000 Baht(~$800). But I am starting with 10,000 Baht(~$300).

My Plan:

1. Buy new GPU, RAM and PSU and install it in old PC. -- 10,000 Baht(~$300) -- This is what I need help in.--

2. Buy new Motherboard, CPU, Case. -- 10,720 Baht(~$350)

3. Probably buy a better GPU. -- 8,000 Baht(~$280)

4. So on so forth. -- To Infinity(baht) and beyond.

Right now these are my horrible specs:
The Ugly

CPU: Intel Core i3 560 3.33GHz -- Horrible

GPU: Radeon HD 4300 -- Horrible

RAM: 4GB (I don't see a brand)

Motherboard: H-I41-uATX -- Link to manufacturer: http://h20564.www2.h...mr_na-c01903990

PSU: 250W (I don't see a brand)

Case: I don't know what it is...

The manufacturer is Compaq and HP.

My specs for my new Gaming PC will be:
The Beast-ish

CPU: AMD AM3+ FX-6300 3.5GHz (3890 Baht[$120]

GPU: MSi GTX750 Ti OC 2GB (4,990 Baht[$150])

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Savage 8GB -- Can I put that on my current Motherboard? (2,290 Baht[$70])

Motherboard: MSi AM3+ 970 Gaming (3,540 Baht[$100])

PSU: Plenty 550W Super Black 3 -- Cheap and Reliable; Thai brand (990 Baht[$30]) --- Trust me, everyone here in Thailand uses it... :p

Case: Corsair Carbide 400R (3290 Baht[$100])

Total: ~25,000 Baht[~$800]

Some Questions:

Q:Can I put a 1600 RAM in a 1066 RAM slot?

Q:Is there anything I can get cheaper? (Note: I live in Thailand, so some products aren't sold here... Here is the link for a Thai Computer Shop: https://www.jib.co.th/web/-- It is in English, don't worry.

Q:Just to make sure, PCIe x16 is backward compatible, right?

Q:Can I install a 6GB RAM on my Motherboard?

FAQs:

Q:Why start off like that?

A:I want to play GTA V, so I'm starting off with, "1. Buy new GPU, RAM and PSU and install it in old PC. -- 10,000 Baht(~$300)"

Q:When will you upgrade again?

A:The next time I'm upgrading is probably September-December.

Q:Is that all you've got?

A:Yes. I am 15 years old, and here in Thailand, it's hard to get a job.

Q:Why won't you ask your parents for more money?

A:I am happy enough for them to give me money, 2,500 Baht(~$75). I respect how hard they work for me to go to school and such... So I won't ask my parents.

Thanks!

Hi there,

Glad to see you are in the process of upgrading. I would scrap that motherboard first. You can put the ram in, but it will only run at the mother max, which is 1066mhz. It would be pointless buying new ram to put in unless you really need the extra capacity (at no speed increase).

You will be fine with PCIe x16 compatibility on the newer card ( I would still just gut your case and start with a new mobo!).

You sound like a good teen, keep it up man glad you appreciate what your parents do. There's too many little spoilt Merican kids on these forums who have their great aunty Meryl giving them $2k for a gaming PC for their 12th birthday. ;)

You can install 6GB but it would be a either a 4 + 2 GB or 2 + 2 + 2 config. I would try just buy dual channel 8GB (2 x 4GB DDR3 1600).

Thanks! The thing is next week I have a money of about $250, but I am unsure whether to change what in this state.
