gtx 960 vs quadro 4000

my workstation dell t7500 xeon x5670 X2 ....... 2.9 ghz each
24 giga ram

i am 3D artist and graphics designers [[ i am a gamer too ]]
and i have an chance to buy Quadro 4000 for 3d render

my question is quadro 4000 is better in render time or gtx 960 ?? and why ? [[ i am noob in hardware sorry ]]
and can i put the vega cards together and work with both of them accourding to my action [[ games or render ]]
 
Everything depends on software. If your software supports the 960, it will be faster at everything than the Quadro 4000. The chip in the quadro is similar to a GTX 460 or 550 ti. It is 2 generations old.
If you need 64 bit compute, 10 bit color, or complete driver stability, then consider the quadros. Otherwise, they are not worth the money for an individual.

While it may be possible to use two GPUS simultaneously for rendering, most software does not support it, especially if they are different models.
 


Again, depends on the software. Some software only uses the CPU. Some can use GPU and CPU. You will have to check what your software supports.
