Frozen start screen after RAM upgrade

So I recently purchased G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series Desktop Memory from Newegg to upgrade the RAM on my Acer Aspire AM3910-UR10P Desktop and when I went to install the sticks, it didn't work. More specifically, once the memory was added, the computer was stuck on the acer startup screen and wouldn't let me boot to bios or boot menu. I've tried the new memory in both sets of slots without any luck. I've also tried keeping the old memory in and installing the new memory with no avail.

For reference, if I remove the new memory and go back to the original RAM, the computer boots no problem

Based on everything I've found online, as well as my own (low-moderate) knowledge on memory compatibility, there is no reason this shouldn't work. Heck, there are even two reviews on the Newegg page specifically referencing this memory!

Anyone got any ideas?

Update 2: I was able to get to the BIOS screen with 1 stick of RAM, but not boot. The BIOS screen would show me that the 4GB was install. Then I would exit the BIOS screen and attempt to start the computer and I would get the blue screen of death telling me that there were changes in hardware and the computer cannot start. This was the case with both individual sticks of RAM.

Note: When both RAM were installed at once or the 2 new RAM sticks were added to the original configuration, I could not even get to the bios screen; start-up was stuck

After going back to just the original stick of RAM, my computer is able to restart following a recovery mode and work fine.

Anyone got any ideas?

Ok so I ran the memtest a few times just now-

First on my original configuration just to see what I should expect. Test took about 10 minutes and there were no errors.

I then took out that RAM stick and added one of the G.Skill (in the same slot) and ran the test. Immediately after booting from the USB, the computer restarted. I tried again on the restart. This time it actually got to the testing screen and got a total of 00:01 into the diagnostic, 27% of the first test before freezing. I waited for a few minutes, tried to exit, etc. and nothing happened; computer was completely frozen. This was also the case with other G.Skill stick.

Does that mean the RAM is faulty? Or is there something else here?

I have to check about the latest BIOS - I tried both using my motherboard model name and searching for any updates, as well as going directly thru Acer and wasn't able to see if anything was available. I can search further this evening if no one has a quicker solution.

And yes, both of the G.Skill memory sticks failed at the exact same point
