Ok so I just upgraded to a fx8350, evga 960ssc and 8gb of kingston fury hyper x 1866 ram. I did a benchmark and was sitting at a 1674 score, fps 66.5, min fps 24.6 and max fps 120. this was high settings.
I went into the bios and hit "f5 optimize settings". like a jackass. now my score went down to fps 39.3, score 991, min fps 17.9 and max fps 85.9.

Specs:
fx 8350
evga 960 ssc
kingston fury 8gb of 1866 ram
asus m5a99x evo mobo
evga 650 watt psu
wd 1tb hdd
cooler master hyper 212 plus

I didnt want to oc yet until I see those original numbers on the benchmark again. what are the best settings in bios? What can I enable, disable, or make changes to to make these numbers go back up?

The mobo I bought used off a buddy and I'm thinking he had it set a certain way and now I lost those settings when I hit the f5 key. He doesn't live near me or I'd have him swing by to help set it up
