SPDIF Audio not working in 5.1ch Mode

Please solve my problem i have Gigabyte Z77 MX-D3H Mother Board. My board has SPDIF Audio port at back side. i connect this SPDIF port with my SONY BDV-3200 Home Theater with Optical cable but my CPU output only in 2.1ch sound on all 5.1ch movies, Games like NFS Most Wanted 2012, Battlefield 3 ,4 ,farcry 4 and Max Payne 3. Please solve my 5.1ch output problem. Thanks

Your mobo has http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/audio/codecs/vt2021/ that supports DTS Connect for surround over SPDIF (the other format that's not supported is DD Live)

Your receiver doesn't show any support for DTS Connect (or DD Live) http://www.sony-asia.com/product/bdv-e3200

That says to me you'll only get surround over HDMI with that mobo/AVR combo.
