its working quite normally in other pc and lappy except mine, though my lappy has no problem, others things are running smoothly like pendrives etc.
the problem is my lappy is able to detect the drive but when i open it to access the data it's 'not responding'.... this problem is only in my lappy

Hi there Arihant03,

As the drive is working fine on other systems, most probably the issue you are facing is driver related. You need to update your USB drivers(from your MOBO's website). Also, you can try the drive on other USB ports. The ones on the back of the computer case tend to provide more power. You can even use Y type of USB cable.
It will not hurt to test the drive with a brand specific testing tool in order to check its health status out.
