Hey guys, I bought a pc from best buy and was trying to find out some motherboard info to do some upgrading in the future.

Its an Asus, system model k30AD_M31AD_M51AD
System type x64-based pc

That's the only information I found and not sure what to make of it.

Thank you. I downloaded and it says the model is the same thing and just adds Rev X.0x? How would I tie that in if I wanted to know if something was compatible like a gpu or powers supply?

Sorry for all the questions, im just getting into all of this if you couldn't tell.

at some point, you'd take the cover off and look inside and start to identify what's what. you'd learn how to differentiate slots (both as type and as number of pins [1x, 4x, 16x]) and other stuff. roll up those sleeves and get dirty!

most of the time a power supply would be compatible without worry - as long as you can fit it inside and it has the same 4 mounting screw locations. on "normal" sized machines, it's a standard power supply. on slim / tiny machines, it's a special one so there's far less options.
