Hi All.

I am trying to install .NET Framework 3.5 on my windows 8.1 laptop, however I get an error message of 0x800F0906.

I have done some research and have come to the conclusion that I do not have KB2966826 or KB2966828 on my machine, and am currently stumped.

Yes, I have gone into control panel and searched for the faulty patches, but to no avail (this was in the installed updates)

I am unable to get a disc of win 8, or anything like that as the laptop had it preinstalled, and there is no DVD drive either.

Please help.

.NET framework should already be included as part of Windows 8.1. You shouldn't need to install it. I would contact Microsoft Tech support about this if I were you. They should be able to give you a definitive answer and if necessary tell you how to enable or install it.

Well, I have 4.0 framework, but not 3.5 (which includes 2.0 and 2.5). I have already tried to enable it, but the same windows pops up, prompting me to download. Ill reset my computer, see what happens then, but I highly doubt it will work. 3.5 is really not enabled on my laptop, and is not present.

How should i contact them?
