You have no idea how long it took me to find this issue... At first I thought it was messed up, for hours I couldnt get my PC to boot into windows, it would stay on a black screen with a blinking line at the top left. I reformatted the whole thing and installed all the updates. When I restarted my computer again It did the exact same thing. After about another hour of trying to get it working I unplugged every USB out. As soon as I unplugged the headset it booted into windows fine. Why is this happening?? It did not happen at all on my other system, which used windows 8.1 as well...

Specs:

Windows 8.1
Asus X99-PRO Motherboard
GTX 980SC
1TB Mushkin SSD
16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengence

Headset: Sennheiser PC 363D

It comes with a surround sound USB adapter, I plug it into that and plug it into the USB port. It still does this when it's not even turned on!

PS: Yes, I made sure every possible thing in the bios is correct for this issue not to happen
