Hey all, fairly new here. Looking for some information about a GPU upgrade.
Current specs:
CPU - Intel i7 950 @ 3.07GHZ
Motherboard - Gigabyte X58A-UD5
RAM - 16gb Kingston (Unsure about type - info from CPU-Z - DDR3/Part# 9905403-172.A00LF)
Graphics - Radeon HD 6900
SSD - Kingston HyperX 150GB
Also have a Corsair H100 cooling system and my case is a NZXT Phantom.
Although I'm having cooling problems at the moment I think I will have that sorted tomorrow with some advice from another thread.(http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2585136/friendly-opinions.html) In the other thread the blokes helping me out said I could upgrade to a GTX 970/980 and my system would handle it, this is great news but is that the best possible upgrade for my price range?
My question? What is the best GPU upgrade for approx $350-400 that will get me through 2015 and give me a decent boost in games like Battlefield 4 and Hardline?
Cheers in advance fellas, Looking forward to your suggestions and light shedding advice! Teach me I want to learn!
Cary
