Before I buy any of the components, I was wondering if there was anything I could do differently with this build?

Okay so this is my first desktop build and I wanted to know if there was anythiong that I could do differently for around the $800 to $900 range.

I usually play games like CSGO and Arma 3 at 1080p. I would like to play Battlefield 4 or Hardline also! I don't know if there is any reason to add a SSD but I am thinking about adding one in the future if i don't get one for the boot drive.

Let me know if there is anything i need that i am missing! :??:

Do you have a DVD drive. It might be embarrassing to build you new PC and then not be able to install the operating system :)
Also if you are going with the FX-8350 you will definitely want to overclock it with an aftermarket cooler otherwise you should get an i5 (without overclocking the i5 beats the pants off of the 8350 in games http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/dying-light-benchmark-performance-analysis,4060-4.html)

That MSI motherboard has a history of failures and catching fire under load . Avoid it . Avoid all MSI motherboards with a 970 chipset . None are good

Its very easy to reset the cpu speed to the same as an 8350 . A couple of mouse clicks . The mb is very strong

I wasn't thinking of OCing because I'm not really sure how to do that. But I was going with the 8350 because s much cheaper than the 4690k. And I didnt think that i needed a DVD drive because I thought you can still install the OS with a USB.

I don't have anything against the board you suggested but this one is a little cheaper! :p

The i5 4460 is 10 dollars more and significantly better in games. The AMD's are a good choice if you are doing heavily threaded tasks (video editing) or you want to spend significantly less than $190 (like Outlanders suggestion of the 8320)

What id use as base parts for an amd build - board is the best around for the money bar none
As stated above an 8320+an aftermarket cooler (& the themis is a real good one) is a better choice than an 8350 with the stock cooler.
Cant go wrong with the antec psu - modular is a nice bonus & will make your build neater & easier especially with minimal components.
If these parts are too expensive then compromise on your case, instead not the components.
