windows 8.1 directx 12 download?

^dx12 does not overwrite previous versions.
If you use the update you will have dx9/10/11 & 12 installed on your PC.
Games/software will use whatever DX version driver it is coded for.
You have nothing to worry about- there's no reason not to update it.

Nvidia released a fully dx12 compliant driver set 2 days ago - not sure about amd as I haven't switched my other rig on for a week.

question, if i am going to upgrade from 8.1 to 10 will i see a lot of improvement during gaming as what they are saying on youtube? i really need someone who can confirm this for me who are actually using windows 10 right now. Thanks!

not even a grafic card really suports it. its like when HD tv's came they said hd ready yes but its not hd
but i buy new crafic card that just support and wait all these new one breaks easy always end of the old ^^

The current GTX 9xxs and Titan X are fully dx12 compatible and so are the AMD Fury cards.

No it's not. It is exclusive to Windows 10. You have to get windows 10 in order to get directx 12. Luckily the upgrade from 8.1 to 10 is free for most.

So win win. And it's a great os.

Yeah,but what if I don't have compatible audio drivers yet?
P.S:If you don't install any updates on W10,it will still show DX12,unlike 8.1? (when it requires an update to do that)
