Wondered if you could help me out, I've got the same problem, my network adapter is listed as an unknown device, I've tried resetting the motherboard, unplugging the psu, taking the battery out, it's just about killing me.

Ashley, strictly speaking you should create your own thread even if your problem is similar, as trying to help two or more people in the same thread can get very confusing for everyone concerned, plus the thread-starter isn't going to take kindly at having his thread "hijacked" by someone else looking for help.

However, just this once I'll try to help you here since it's probably a simple fix.

Unknown device in DM usually means the driver isn't installed for that device, so try installing it. You can download it from your motherboard manufacturer's website if it's not a factory-built PC.

For factory-built PC (or a laptop) download it from that PC/laptop manufacturer's website.
