Way to use PCI card without desktop PC?

Hello.
I want to use a PCI card without desktop computer, but laptop/tablet, because I want my system to be portable, but all I can find are too expensive, such as:

The PCI card is too special to be replaced by another card with different interface, so can I have any cheaper options?

Thats really the only game in town, Magma actually patented that specific setup, and they are the only ones who make it. There are a couple of high end gaming Laptops that offer an external video card device, but otherwise thats prettymuch your only choice. And you can't use it with a Tablet, you need a laptop with a CardBus or ExpressCard slot (PCMCIA).

Maybe I have to build a mini ITX PC, still big, but much smaller than a desktop.

Ahh ok, Yeah there are a lot of small box miniITX builds you can do out there, that will handle that I am sure, and you can make portable. It won't be a laptop, but you won't be lugging a huge box either. Good luck!

AFAIK no Mini ITX motherboard includes a PCI slot. A slightly larger Micro ATX motherboard in an easily portable case could be an acceptable solution.

I was referring to mini ITX motherboards that support an i3, i5 or i7 CPU.
