How to change boot priority without using BIOS?

I have recently rebuilt my PC and have a fresh instal of Win7 64bit on a brand new 1tb drive. Once it was all setup, I plugged in my old 500gb drive from my old system to copy some files over and keep as a separate backup drive, however, even thought it's not 'diskC' the PC keeps trying to launch windows repair when I start it with the disk plugged in and I have to physically unplug the old disk before starting, then plug it in to access data.

Problem is, my new fancy MD BIOS (MSI 970 Gaming) won't display on the LCD TV I use with the PC as the resolution is all wrong, so what can I do within Windows itself? Delete the old Windows folders on the old drive maybe?
