While I wait for my new rig I figure why not get dark souls 2.
Here are my specs:
4gb of ram
AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad -core processor 3.80 GHz
gtx 650 MSI

I don't know if this helps but I am able to run skyrim maxed out with high res.

Solution

DS2 will run fine. You could probably max it out

I doubt you can run Skyrim maxed out with high res...either way, you will be able to "run" dark souls...just expect to make big compromises with certain settings

Thank you for the answer. But I am telling the truth about the skyrim thing so don't call me a liar.

with the high resolution texture pack or high resolution? if its the high res texyure pack he probably gets terrible fps if its a high resolution I would expect 40 frames on ultra with no high res texture pack...

Not calling your a liar bro.

Just saying from experience and looking at your specs, it seems highly unlikely that you are "maxing out" Skyrim and running it smoothly.

It is more a case of people often thinking "If I set everything to the highest possible setting, I am getting the best possibe looking game and maxing it out".

Like the other chap mentions, if you left it stock with the original texture etc. you may or may not be getting what you claim.

With Skyrim however "MAXING it out" is a VERY different ball game. Google some "mods" and texture packs etc. and look at screenshots...you won't recognize the game much from what you play, trust me.

Ok what do you and him mean by "texture packs" Because I installed the Bethesda one. And by you saying "doubt you can run skyrim maxed out" Makes it sound to me as if your calling me a liar, and I do understand that my pc is not the strongest why do you think I am going to get a new one, (I just have to get the money together.) What I mean by maxing out and you mean by maxing are not the same thing, what I am talking about is maxing out the whole game with a high res texture in not enbs or something like that. Now can we move on, this is completely off topic and I asked for answers not for a discussion. Next time though ask someone what he or she means by maxed out don't just assume that they are talking about what your talking about.
