Trying to purchase a gaming computer for my son but I have no idea where to start. I have a cap of $1000.00 to spend on this gaming computer. I wouldn't know how to build one so that's out of the question, so a pre-built is most likely the option. He wants to play games such as Day z and several other titles like this game. Could someone please point me in the right direction?
Thank you

Newegg has building tutorials too. If you can use a phillips screwdriver, and follow directions, you can put together a PC. Heck, make it a project you two do together. Any 1080p LCD monitor will do, for this, for now. Just worry about getting the best performing hardware you can. More expensive peripherals can always wait. Here is my build recommendation.

Made it a little better.
A cheaper(but slightly better) mobo.
Cheaper RAM.
A 280x with the best cooling.
A good enough case.
Changed out the monitor(you can change it if you don't like it).
Put in a TON better psu.

Hope this helped!
