hi im using 500w psu by enermax and an fx-8120 by amd for processor..

many people say that my MOBO is not good for oc

but i just wanna to know that if i can over clock it or not..
if i doo.. then how much can i push my CPU?

Solution
Well, Enermax isn't known for their power supplies, so not off to a good start there.

The motherboard is lacking any additional cooling on the VRMs (The series of chips and capacitors right next to the CPU socket) So it will heat up.

If you are using the stock CPU cooler there will be some air flow over the VRMs to help.

Now you don't have to go extreme, if you want just a little more performance try to increase the CPU clock without increasing the core voltage. When it becomes unstable go back to the highest setting at which it worked and you will get free performance.

You can try increasing the voltage, but it is somewhat risky.

You can always buy and apply heatsinks to the VRMs to help out...

Every CPU is a little different, so no can give you a firm answer on that last question.

Not the fastest CPU out there. But we would need the rest of the system information to see if there is anything else that could be holding you back.

If you have a low end GPU that will more directly affect the FPS then the the CPU in most situations.
