Weird PC shutdowns/crashes

When my PC booted today it froze at startup, after 5 minutes i manually shut down, started it again, and everything worked fine. Shortly after I was playing osu! (not an intensive game by any means) and my computer just died as if it had lost power. When i started it back up again i got to my password screen but my keyboard didn't work, i went to go unplug my keyboard and this turned off the computer. The third time i booted my pc my keyboard, mouse, monitor, and i assume headset all did not work, nothing happened except the lights and fans coming on. I heard a steady "beeep, beeep, beeep" continuously coming from the hard drive. I unplugged all peripherals and manually shut down the computer after i found my mobo speaker. I started again this time with the mobo speaker in to listen to any error beeps, but there was none. It started up just fine, i plugged my stuff back in, and now i'm making this forum post.

Specs:
Mobo: 970A-D3
CPU: AMD 965 II phenom black edition
GPU: Sapphire 7790 1gb
RAM: 8gb corsair vengence ram
HDD: seagate barracuda 500gb
PSU: CM 500w extreme powerplus

and my keyboard is the Quickfire TK CM storm

Also yes i have all the most recent drivers for everything, i did a clean restore of my computer 2 or so weeks ago since i was having other issues that i misattributed to what wasn't the issue.

All the capacitors throughout the mobo and psu are fine
Also i remember at the time of buying the CM 500w extreme powerplus every one loved it and was recommending it, why is it low-quality?
