Hi there,

Not an issue as such, more just a curiosity.

I have a gaming PC I built myself quite recently and for the most part it runs very well. Very high frame rates in most popular games and smooth.

However there are a few games out there that just don't seem to agree with it (Namely DayZ and Arma3 among others)

Is there a reason for this past the "Those games just aren't optimised"?

Is there anything I can do to alleviate this past the config optimisation I have already followed?

Also for those games in question, there is no difference between running on low specs vs high specs (In fact in most cases, the game actually ran better on high)

Regards

Solution
the game runs better on high settings because it bottlenecks the cpu badly at low settings.
reason: your offloading work from the gpu but in doing so creating more work for the cpu. (the gpu can produce more fps so the cpu is forced to keep up even if it means maxing out at 100% and bottlenecking)
truth is its not so much badly optimized as badly written. its a poor game engine at best and wont reflect the true performance of your machine.
