so today i got a Athlon x4 860K quad-core processor, and i tried overclocking it various speeds up from the stock speed of 3.7 ghz, but even 4 ghz caused instability and crashing in windows, then i tried upping the core voltage by a small amount and it was slightly more stable but still was causing weird issues, im currently at stock speed, 3.7 ghz and things are fine but even a slight bump up in speed causes odd issues, crashing, BSOD, glitches, etc. below is my system specs. if anyone could help it would be very much appreciated cause i want to get the most out of this PC.

Are you OC'ing in BIOS? If so, I presume you are taking the multi up 1 click at a time, checking for stability and temps between increases. Not touching anything else. And of course, disable Turbo Mode before starting to OC. Only when the OC is no longer stable, then inch up the vcore a tiny bit at a time.

I just put together a 860K/MSI AX88M Gamer build and had trouble getting past 4.0 GHz myself. But I didn't get into anything other than the multi and vcore. Later when I have more time, I'll delve into it more intently.
