removing the riser on g.skill trident ram

Hello,

If I were to remove the heat riser from the g.skill trident ram so that my ram can fit under the noctua nh-d15 cpu cooler in dual fan mode will this have any long term effects on the ram, in terms of heating issues?

You'll be fine, though it's two small screws (phillips head) one at either end of the upper fin, if you were to breakout a IR thermometer, you'll find less than two degrees differance on most rigs, perfectly safe, have had to do this a number of times
